Also known as Forum Romanum, this was the epicenter of western civilization, the political, economic, and religious center of ancient Rome, the place of religious worships and site of temples, tribunals and other buildings. Among the ruins, include statue of late Caesar, Zeus, temples, basilicas, arches, Regia - the residence of the kings of Rome, Rostra where politicians made their speeches, a processional street, the Via Sacra that linked the Atrium Vetae with the Coliseum.
