Also known as Flavian Amphitheatre,located adjacent to the Roman Forum , this is the most important monument in ancient Rome. Builded in AD 72 by Emperor Vespasian, completed by his son, Titus, in the AD 80, and improved upon by Domitian, the coliseum is where bloody battles were fought between the gladiators and the most ferocious animals of the world.
